Contaminated Sites Calculators

For more information regarding the calculators please contact Zuzana Culakova at 907-465-5346.

Method Three (18 AAC 75.340(e)) was developed to provide flexibility in determining alternative cleanup levels for soil, as the default soil and aquifer parameter values used to develop the default cleanup levels may not be reflective of soil or aquifer conditions at a particular site. The petroleum and cleanup levels calculators are designed to assist consultants, responsible parties, and regulators in calculating site-specific cleanup levels under Method Three using site-specific soil data, aquifer data or both, and to calculate commercial/industrial exposure values.

The department requires submittal of the parameters proposed for modification, the site-specific values for those parameters proposed for use, and a description of the basis for each site-specific value to support the calculation of site-specific cleanup levels.

Petroleum Cleanup Levels Calculator

The Petroleum calculator is a tool for determining site-specific alternative cleanup levels for gasoline, diesel, and residual range organics for three soil exposure pathways: inhalation, ingestion, and migration to groundwater.

Cleanup Levels Calculator

The Cleanup Levels calculator is a tool for determining site-specific alternative cleanup levels for non-petroleum contaminants of concern listed in 18 AAC 75.341, Table B1 for the human health and migration to groundwater exposure pathways.

Cumulative Risk Calculator

The Cumulative Risk calculator assists with determining the cumulative carcinogenic risk and non-cancer hazard index based on measured contaminant concentrations at a site after cleanup is complete, as described at 18 AAC 75.325(g).
