AEA Akiachak Tank Farm

- New Akiachak tank farm construction site. Akiachak is located on the west bank of the Kuskokwim River on the Yukon-Kuskokwin Delta. It lies 18 miles northeast of Bethel.

- The actual time of the spill is unknown. The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) tank farm operator reported the spill to DEC at 12:00 p.m. December 30, 2003.

- Cause
- Fuel apparently leaked from a 5000-gallon isotank owned by the STG, Inc. a Contractor hired by the AEA. The cause of the spill is under investigation.
