Interior Fuels Truck Rollover

Location: The spill occurred on Philips Field Road near Fox Road in Fairbanks , Alaska . The property is owned by the Alaska Rail Road and leased by Flowline Alaska.
Time/Date: The spill occurred at 5:45 AM on June 20, 2004 . The Fairbanks Police Department (FPD) was notified immediately. FPD called the Department of Environmental Conservation at 7:00 AM.

Product/ Quantity: Interior Fuels reports that 1,600 gallons of diesel fuel were released.
Cause: The driver accidentally drove a fuel tanker truck containing 3,280 gallons of #2 diesel fuel off the road. The vehicle rolled over and the two fuel compartments ruptured. The driver was uninjured.
