Product/ Quantity: One of the vessel's two 800 gallon diesel fuel tanks is believed to have lost its entire contents. The vessel was in dry storage (on land) at the Seward Marine Industrial Center (SMIC), Dry Storage Boat Yard. The spill was contained in frozen ditches in the boat yard and did not reach the water.
Cause: A fuel filter cracked. Fuel gravity-fed from the tank to the boat's bilge and escaped from the drain hole.
