- No spill has occurred. The Arctic Hunter's maximum fuel capacity is 42,000 gallons. The crew estimates that approximately 12,000 gallons of diesel fuel and operational quantities of hydraulic and lubricating oil were on board the vessel when it grounded. A slight sheen was reported when the vessel grounded. There have been no additional reports of sheen since the initial grounding.

- The cause of the grounding is under investigation by the U.S. Coast Guard.
