Sanitary Survey Inspector Approval Information

Step 1: Complete the Basic Sanitary Survey training course.
Step 2: Pass exam with score of 70% or higher.
Step 3: Submit completed Sanitary Survey Report from the field exercise completed during the class.
Step 4: After DW Program staff confirms successful completion of above, submit application along with application fee ($293).

Approval notification will be provided by email from DW Program staff.

Approval is valid for two years ending on the calendar year (example: if approval given July 2022, it will be valid until December 31, 2024).

Step 1: Complete the Sanitary Survey Renewal training course.
Step 2: Pass exam with score of 70% or higher.
Step 3: After DW Program staff confirms successful completion of Step 1 & 2, submit renewal application along with renewal application fee ($204).

Yes, the Department may revoke a Sanitary Survey Inspector approval as outlined in regulation 18 AAC 80.439.
