F/V Cape Cross Grounding
- Location
- Main Bay in Prince William Sound. The vessel grounded approximately half way up the bay on the south side (60° 31.788’N, 148° 03.743’W).
- Time/Date
- The F/V Cape Cross grounded in Main Bay in Prince William Sound at 5:00 AM on July 26, 2010. The US Coast Guard (USCG) reported the grounding to ADEC at 7:37 AM on the same day.

- At the time of grounding, the vessel had approximately 3000 gallons of diesel fuel and 400 gallons of lube and hydraulic oils on board. A USCG overflight on July 27 reported sheen emanating from the stricken vessel, apparently from residual oils in the bilge and an unsecured gasoline drum from the aft deck.
- Cause
- The vessel drifted onto an uncharted pinnacle.
