At the time of grounding, the vessel had approximately 3000 gallons of diesel fuel and 400 gallons of lube and hydraulic oils on board. A USCG overflight on July 27 reported sheen emanating from the stricken vessel, apparently from residual oils in the bilge and an unsecured gasoline drum from the aft deck.
The vessel drifted onto an uncharted pinnacle.
