Proposed Changes on the Certification of Pesticide Applicators

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation proposes to adopt regulation changes in Title 18, Chapter 90 of the Alaska Administrative Code, dealing with certification of pesticide applicators, including the following:

  1. Amend 18 AAC 90.300 to modify certification requirements for the use of pesticides, including clarification of pesticide categories.
  2. Amend 18 AAC 90.305 to modify certification procedures, including written examination practices.
  3. Amend 18 AAC 90.310 to clarify the certification renewal criteria for pesticide use, including necessary course requirements.
  4. Amend 18 AAC 90.415 and 18 AAC 90.420 to clarify recordkeeping requirements for pesticide applicators.
  5. Amend 18 AAC 90.990 to add and modify definitions, including those governing restricted use pesticides and use of a pesticide.

Public Comments

The questions must be received at least 10 days before the end of the public comment period.
