Dust in Alaska

Dust consists of tiny solid particles carried by air currents. These particles are formed by disintegration or fracture processes, such as grinding, crushing or impact. Significant sources include unpaved roads, agriculture, construction sites and mining industries. When inhaled, fine particles of dust can accumulate in the respiratory system causing various respiratory problems including persistent coughs, wheezing and physical discomfort.
